Quality Control
Quality grading and defect capture at the line.
After packing, every carton runs down the line through an inline check scale and under a barcode scanner. The Robot terminal reads both, verifies the printed label is actually applied to a real, weighed carton — not thrown away or re-printed — and posts a book-into-stock transaction to the on-premise SCADA & IOT Server. This reconciliation between printed labels and dispatched cartons is the critical QC check that closes the loop.
Quality control at the line
An inline scale + scanner downstream of the packers reconciles every printed label against an actual, weighed carton. Cartons that don't match — wrong weight, missing scan, duplicate scan — are flagged before they leave the line.
Inline check weighing
- Every carton weighed in motion as it passes
- Out-of-spec weights flagged for review
- Independent of the packer's weighing — closes the trust loop
Barcode verification
- Overhead scanner reads each label as it passes
- Confirms the label was applied — not thrown away or re-printed
- Duplicate detection catches re-scanned cartons
Stock booking
- Each verified carton automatically booked into stock
- Linked to the original packer transaction by barcode
- Real-time inventory always reflects what physically left the line
Reject & reconcile
- Cartons without a valid scan are flagged and held
- Weight mismatches against label spec are surfaced immediately
- Daily reconciliation compares printed labels vs. shipped cartons
Why this QC check matters
Closes the print-to-ship loop
A printed label without a scanned, weighed carton is a missing carton — caught here before dispatch.
Trustworthy stock
Inventory always reflects what physically passed the QC point — not what was promised at the packer.
Independent verification
A second weight downstream of the packer protects against scale drift, mis-tare, and human error at the station.
Audit-ready
Every QC pass and exception is captured as a structured event — full traceability for export, retailer, and regulatory audits.
