How Radical Electronic Systems collects, uses, and protects information shared through our website and product deployments.
Who we are
Radical Electronic Systems (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a South African electronics design and engineering company. Our registered contact details are published on the About page. This privacy statement describes how we handle personal information collected through this website and through deployments of our products at customer sites.
What information we collect
On this website. We do not require you to register or provide personal information to browse this site. We may collect basic technical information automatically — IP address, browser user-agent, and request paths — for the purpose of operating the site and detecting abuse. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers that profile individual visitors.
When you contact us. If you reach out via email, phone, or any contact form, we collect the information you choose to share — typically a name, contact details, and the content of your enquiry — for the sole purpose of responding to you.
In product deployments. Our products (the Robot terminal range, ITPC, RoboX, LogX, and the Robot SCADA & IOT Server) operate on-premise inside the customer’s facility. Operational data — sensor readings, container records, transactions, audit logs — stays on the customer’s network and under the customer’s control. We do not collect or transmit operational data from customer deployments back to ourselves.
How we use information
- To respond to enquiries — we use the contact details and content you share to reply to you and follow up where appropriate.
- To operate this website — basic request logs are used to keep the site running, troubleshoot issues, and detect malicious activity.
- To support customer deployments — when a customer engages us for installation, integration, or support, we use the information they share with us strictly for that purpose.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.
- We do not transmit operational data from on-premise product deployments to our own systems.
- We do not run third-party advertising or behavioural-tracking systems on this site.
Data retention
- Website logs — retained for a limited period (typically a few months) sufficient for operational and security purposes, then deleted.
- Enquiry correspondence — retained for as long as we have an active commercial relationship or a reasonable expectation of one. You may request deletion at any time.
- Customer deployment data — retained according to the customer’s own retention policy on their own systems. We do not hold copies.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to request correction of any inaccurate information, and to request deletion of information we hold (subject to legitimate-interest and legal-retention exceptions). To exercise these rights, contact us using the details on the About page.
Cookies
This website uses only strictly necessary cookies. We do not set advertising, marketing, or behavioural-tracking cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics that profile individual visitors. Because the cookies in use are limited to those needed for security, abuse prevention, and the basic operation of forms on the site, your prior consent is not required under POPIA. We disclose them here so you can see exactly what is set.
